Internet Connection

Posted under Business by Kris on Sunday 24 January 2010 at 10:49 am

Are you reading from a place which is not your home? Well, then, this post is definitely for you!

My friend, who had recently moved in New York, was a bit of a minimalist. But after seeing the powers of the internet (seriously! From games to movies to information to projects… the list is endless), he was finally convinced to get an internet connection.

Now, we both wondered about which one to go for, because of so many internet services around. We first had to decide whether we want dial-up or a dsl service (which is much faster).

We made a list of pros and cons, but the one thing that factored the most was internet usage. Me, an internet buff, cannot live without a dsl but on the other hand for an occasional user dial up might be the better option!

But since my friend was so excited about exploring the world (quite understandable), we thought we would go for a dsl connection rather than a cheap dial up one.

A quick search on the internet and we were talking to the representatives of www.copper.net and boy are they good. The installation went flawless and the rates were very reasonable too.

So, if you are looking for an internet connection, anywhere in USA, you must give copper.net a look! They were very good in their service and my friend hasn’t had any problems with his shiny new dsl connection.

Let us know how your experience went with them and which one did you go for, dial up or dsl?

The Shopping Revolution

Posted under Business by Kris on Sunday 24 January 2010 at 1:38 am

There are many shopping websites out there, from Ebay to amazon to buy, but I recently found one which stood apart. Yes, it is quite revolutionary.

The website is shopwiki.com and it is like a shopping search engine. It crawls(technical term for searching) the internet looking for websites which sell goods and list them out for you.

So, what is the difference to you? Well, normal shopping websites list only paid listings but this one lists all listings of items! So, this means, you can get the cheapest buy available.

And boy, do they have a variety, from grills to barbeque tools, to outdoor furniture, they have them all!

So, if you are an avid shopper (or your companion is one!) then this site is definitely for you. It has everything you may need for shopping and who are your vendors? Well the whole wide world!

If you are a casual or an occasional shopper, hey it doesn’t hurt to save a few bucks. So, give the website a try and see if there is a shop selling the same product cheaper.

I must say I am hooked to this online shopping portal, whether it is purchasing new games for xbox or searching for a gift. Shopwiki.com is a website worth bookmarking!

More value for your customers

Posted under Business by Kris on Friday 22 January 2010 at 11:53 am

If you have not tried Direct TV, you really are missing on something! I along with two of my really close friends recently got together for a nice little party. One of them is a big tech buff and the other one on mostly on the conservative side and believes in minimalistic living.

Since we are all deeply related in business, the conversation got on how businesses can increase value for their customers. My tech buff friend who had recently purchased a Commercial Satellite TV from http://www.directsattv.com/business from his Direct TV Business Account was saying that his customers are more happy than before (He owns a bar and had some of his customers say that to him).

My conservative friend argued that everything else is okay, but the main selling point of the business should be the product.

After a huge discussion, which ran into hours, we finally came to the conclusion that even though the main selling point is the product, but giving customers more value for their money like installing a Business Satellite TV in a business where entertainment has value has a much better customer retention rate than just giving the product.
What do you guys think of it? Also, http://www.directsattv.com/business is a site to check out, my friend speaks very highly of it.

A beautiful piece of luggage

Posted under daily buzz by Kris on Friday 22 January 2010 at 11:33 am

I was planning to go to Chicago for a meeting when I noticed that I did not have a good travelling bag.
There was still time for my trip so I thought I should look online. And in the course of searching for a nice travelling bag I came across a wonderful website called VillageLuggageandGifts.com

This website had everything that I needed. From Hartman luggage to Delsey luggage, they seem to have it all.
I was wondering which luggage to go for when I noticed a brilliant set of Tumi luggage which was surprisingly under the price range I was looking for. It looked fabulous and I thought I would definitely buy it soon.

But it slipped out of my mind due to work pressure and I went to Chicago with my ugly looking backpack. I regretted not having bought it sooner. So, next time I am visiting somewhere I will definitely buy that beautiful piece of luggage.

So, if you are in the market for some luggage or have a big trip planned up, be sure to give VillageLuggageandGifts.com a try. They have quite a comprehensive collection and the majority of their stuff is pretty reasonable. Do give the website a visit.

Ceiling Fans

Posted under Uncategorized by Kris on Thursday 21 January 2010 at 6:22 am

So, when my friend recently moved in my city, I was the one chosen to help him set things up. One of his special requests was that he wanted a very good Ceiling Fan.

Ceiling Fans

Ceiling Fans

Ceiling fans are available everywhere but what he wanted was a very high quality one at a cheap price. I immediately fired up my laptop and searched online for good ceiling fans and there were plenty. But one company really stood out and that one was Hansen Wholesale (http://www.hansenwholesale.com/)

Not only they were the most experienced among the lot but their pricing was very reasonable. To be honest, they were charging a little less that what we expected.

Their website was a breeze and my friend quickly selected the model he wanted. And we ordered it immediately.

My friend tells me that the shipping and installation went flawless and he couldn’t have been happier with the company.

So, if you are looking for ceiling fans, you should definitely check out Hansen Wholesale Ceiling Fans. They are one of the best in the industry and their customer support is one that I can vouch for. On top of all that they have the lowest prices online!

Do let me know how your experience went.
