hardware After much thought I finally embarked on the journey of building my own computer from scratch. By “From Scratch” I mean I am custom building the PC by buying all the parts from different locations and putting it together myself. I just got in the motherboard today and it is an Asus P5N-d and my case shall be coming in soon. I built this computer to be a budget PC meaning spend as little as I can while getting as much power out of it. I am still deciding on the video card to get but I will most likely get the Radeon HD 4850. If you have any suggestions for me just leave it in the comments.

Technology In the technology field, entertainment has been rapidly gaining popularity, as many people like to have projectors and surround sound systems inside their households. For those that always wanted to have a head display cinema I suggest Headplay’s Personal Cinema, its quite comfortable and has room for many inputs. The resolution is quite impressive, using liquid crystal on silicon, LCoS for short. This product supports Nvidia’s stereoscopic drivers. It is quite expensive, but usually some people like to chose a headset rather than a large monitor, to each is his own.

Technology Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP, is exploding in popularity, with more and more people using the free internet phone calls that it provides over their own normal land lines. VoIP providers, like Skype, which was the first commercial provider in the market, make big money from allowing free computer to computer calls, and then charging “Skype credit” to users to want to call or text landlines, at prices still well below commercial call rates. This could be one of the things that has caused it to become so popular, along with the appeal of using technology and it’s user friendly-ness. VoIP is growing ever popular and more and more people are switching to vonage for its low cost and more service. Soon all our land lines will become digital and VoIP will reign king.

Technology Web hosting is now a huge industry online, with the biggest companies turning over hundreds of thousands of dollars a month, and at the other end of the scale, new hosting sites popping up every day. Hosting has also become an easy business for scammers, taking large sums of money for ‘one time fee’ hosting, and then vanishing after around 90 days, the chargeback limit. This is especially popular on eBay, where more often than not, hosting is run by one person and vanishes after no time at all, leaving the client stranded and often without their data, as they fail to back it up. There are many good deals on web hosting prices you just have to look out for when they come up. www.1and1.com is offering 50% off on a business hosting package.

Tips After you format a computer there are many things that need to be done to get it ready for basic use. Right after you format any computer and place Windows XP/2000/Vista on it you should update it. How do you update it? Just visit www.update.microsoft.com. Choose either express if you are a baisc user and custom if you have knowledge about the updates.
After you update your computer and restart again and make sure all the updates are downloaded, you want to install flash, Shockwave , and Adobe Reader. Once you download and install those three items I then install Java. Once you install that you just need to protect your new operating system. To do so download or buy an antivirus suite of your choosing.
